Seamless extension
of support
Our track record
The Northern Triangle Mentor Network is designed to be a seamless extension of the support provided by the University of Leeds, Manchester, and Sheffield commercialisation teams. We ensure that the expert, external advice your academics receive is aligned with your university’s commercialisation process throughout our programme.
From being able to attend the Sprint events to being part of the Innovation Boost process, we ensure the commercialisation manager is fully engaged in our activities.
FOR UNIVERSITY COMMERCIALISATION TEAMS
Why have a mentor?
Feedback from Commercialisation Managers:
“It’s been wonderful for mentees to get views and input at an early stage from outside the academic bubble.”
“I’ve noticed a shift in the ‘overall narrative’ of the opportunity, from a research-only focus to a more commercially ambitious outlook.”
“The mentor has supported [the academic] with the transition from a PhD student to a future CEO.”
“It feels to me that way we are not only progressing projects quicker, but also we are investing in the future, creating a ‘next generation of inventors’ by changing the way they think about their research.”
